Hi, I'm Ron Gardner.
My background: I graduated from Florida State University in '81 with a dual degree in Business and Creative Writing. But in the back of my mind, one day, I always hoped to fulfil a dream to be a professional photographer, but as my first daughter was born, I had to get a real job. You see, starving writers don't provide the type of income needed to support a family. So for many years I did the corporate thing.
Now my daughters are grown and gone, so about 11 years ago, I became a corporate photographer for Life Touch. I've probably photographed over 300,000 children in a 4 year period. From that experience, I learned patients, posing, composition, and how to photograph.
I 've been a freelance on my own for the past 7 years doing portraits, weddings, commercial, and fashion. I currently shoot for 3 fashion magazines, one on a national level, two on a regional level. I've photographed for American Archaeology and various other commercial assignments including book covers.
For me, photography goes beyond being a
passion, it;s a true love, a part of my life everyday.
